Wellness Counseling

Proper nutrition is essential for maintaining overall good health.  The typical American diet consists primarily of grains and sugar and contains insufficient amounts fruits, vegetables, protein and healthy fats. As a result, many people are deficient in essential nutrients.

Numerous health disorders can be traced to nutritional deficiencies.  For example, anemia, which is a lack of healthy red blood cells, can occur as a result of a lack of consumption of foods containing folate, vitamin B-12 or vitamin C, or if the body has trouble absorbing or processing these vitamins.  

Using nutritional education as a primary tool,  I believe good health can be obtained by approaching each person as a unique individual. I am passionate about providing education and information that will improve diet, lifestyle, and attitude to promote optimum health.
